Description
The base is what makes this one: four graduated black spheres stacked into a bobbin-turned column, rising from a low domed foot. Against that, the shade is a wide cream pleat — a deliberate contrast of hard dark geometry below and soft pale texture above.
The pleating diffuses the light into vertical bands and spills a warm fan up the wall behind, which is why it photographs so well on a nightstand. Light output is aimed at atmosphere rather than task work: enough to read a few pages by, soft enough to leave on while someone else sleeps.
It runs on USB plug-in power, so it stays put rather than travelling — a fixed bedside companion rather than a portable one. The metal construction gives it enough weight that it won’t tip if the duvet catches it.
